I have no idea how you're trying to get two
joysticks recognized without using a Y cable. That's the only way I'd try to do it. I run Win95, use a Y cable and the Dos version of Mame and it works fine. With the Dos version of Mame I think you need to make sure to specify that you are using dual joysticks.
