The KE24 is great. But for the purist who wants to use *direct* inputs exclusively, 24 probably isn't enough. (But I've never had problems with my 2x22 matrix, though.)

I'm curious to know how many inputs some of your projects need. 72 sounds like a hell of a lot. I can't think of a control panel large enough to house that many microswitches!

I would love to hear about some of your plans for this Encoding Beast.

Ray, do you have an estimated cost? The KE24 costs approximately $4.16 per direct input. At that rate, you could charge, oh, about $300. ;)
