I guess I should have been more clear.

: Very useful info! Yes, I am planning using two devices, a trackball and a spinner. And I prefer using pure dos for now because it is still much smoother. I am going for the serial version.

What I meant was, two devices that control one axis each. Think of a trackball, in this case as two devices, because it has two opti encoders. You cannot connect a trackball and a spiner to one serial interface, as this would be three axis. You could have one trackball, OR two spinners. But no combination of trackball and spinner can be connected, unless you only use one of the trackballs axis. (ok, I'll ask for the fourth time, what is the plural of axis?).

Think of it this way, the interface has support for two axis. Which Happ device you put on those axis makes no difference, as all Happ optical devices use the same opti-wheels and encoders. A trackball has two axis, so when a track ball is connected, both axis on the interface are used, and there is no more room for anything else.

Here's what I did: I bought both the USB and the serial version. I have my two Optical rotating joysticks connected to the serial interface. I have my trackball and three buttons connected to the USB interace.

2 interfaces = support for 4 opti-encoders
1 trackball + 2 opti-joysticks = 4 opti-encoders

So, as if I havent made myself perfectly, redundantly clear, if you want a trackball AND a spinner connected simultaneously, you will need more than one interface kit.
