I think this might be a case of gutting an analogue joystick and re-route the wires from the existing X/Y-Axis to the pedals.
There is two ways we can do this, use a seperate X-Axis for Gas, and Y-Axis for Brake (Most arcade games used individual Axis, PC pedals uses just one Axis (Y) for Gas/Brake where 0 is the center, +1 to +128 is Gas, and -1 to -128 is Brake) in using 1 Axis for Gas/Brake (in M.A.M.E) the following would have to happen (using the IPF_REVERSE for Accel and not IPF_REVERSE for Brake, thus when you Brake it would make the Accel go backwards), some games didn't even use Brake (All the Sprint games) you just had to take your foot of the brake.

However, the way currently M.A.M.E analogue routine works, X-Axis/Y-Axis are also emulated for the Mouse, this will interfere with our 360 wheel, unless we either modify the mouse and make it poll the mouse when Trackball/Dial is used or Use X/Y2 Axis (PC supports 4 axis).
It would be nice to make it so all 4 Axis where available for use.

Currently I have played around with the M.A.M.E source and have got SuperSprint and OutRun to work with Analogue pedals (currently using a Microsoft Wheel), just a case of modifying the driver for each game to support pedals, in most cases it will make it un-usable on anything else this is proberbly why the M.A.M.E team haven't done it.

Must say SuperSprint was awesome, like hold little presure on the presure to drift beautifully around the corner, and then flatout on the straights.. =)

Can't wait for my parts to arrive, although I need to like build the control panel for them. d'oh!!
