Excellent! It is good to know you are like-minded and want to get this all figured out as well.

Now lets see, which joystick to gut...

I have found that nothing compares to the smoothness, sturdyness, and longevity of a CH flightstick pro. All other analogue sticks I've used feel light and cheep, are not reponsive enough, and break or wear out quickly. (I know there will be much debate about this, but whatever) But perhaps, these qualities are not so important in something you're going to gut anyway. Maybe something cheeper would be just as good in this situation. Although the flightstick pro is only about $40 these days. But if your going to use the pots from the pedals, you probably only need a circuit board from a super-cheap-o joystick. Probably best to start cheap and if that doesn't work well enough, move up to some thing better.

Now the question is, is the voltage from/to a pot standard. In other words, will we be able to wire the pots from the pedals to the joystick circuit board and not fry it or have it not work? Xiaou2, any thoughts here?
