An Ideal frontend for MAME

I was wondering what everyone would consider to be the perfect front end for MAME that could be written in Visual Basic (windows only)? What features would you like? What would you like the interface to look like? What would you like to see on the screen? What options would you like? How would you like to control the screen? Do you want to come up with a standard that could be added to all control panels so that the interface knows which cames can be played with each control panel?
I am considering writing a front end in Visual Basic that could be open source so others could add to it and make it better. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

        Mistakes might happen (esp. if there's triple-tapping) but why would you use a front-end to rename a file in windows? NThero 6/03/2001 (1)
