Uh oh. Dreamcast controller problems.

I went to babbages, and they didnt have a madkatz controller, so I got the nyko one, but I have run into a problem. go to http://members.nbci.com/cd_vision2/madcatz.htm
first, then I can explain it. I cant identify where to solder to on this one. Is it the little spaces with the teeth on them, or the pokey things. It doesnt have those little circle to solder to ANYWHERE but on the 4 main buttons. not on the D-pad, or the C and Z buttons (located below the 4 main buttons) or even start. am I in trouble? do I need to get a new pad?

also, how do I identify which side to solder on if it is the teeth things. yes, I am a newbie to this :)
