go back to www.wrongcrowd.com, and read all of the instructions on hacking PSX pads, because it works exactly the same with dreamcast.

As for this pad, although I haven't seen the guts, it probably is similiar, where you have copper circles which are divided into two parts. One of the sides is ground, and one side is "hot". You need to solder one wire from the hot side to your "n/o" connection on your cherry switch, then the ground connection to the common connection on the switch. Now you can wire up just one ground to your switches and daisy chain it to each of your other switches if you like, too. My page has a picture of how that works.

It's easy to tell which is ground on the controller, because the green tracing will touch all of the copper circles on the board, where the other half goes somewhere else.
