: Now, jokes aparts, these are the real proyects. I don't know if I should go for the one with a trackball, since I don't play trackball games at all.

You're missing out, IMHO.

Single T-ball:
================
Centipede
Golden Tee Golf
Light gun games, esp. from Exidy
Millipede
Missile Command
Reactor
Road Runner
Space Harrier

Dual T-ball:
==============
Ataxx
Blades of Steel
Combat School
Jackal (???)
Marble Madness
Rampart
Terminator 2 - Judgment Day
Turkey Shoot

(Atari Arcade Classics prototype:)
Missile Command II
Super Centipede

: A spinner is essential for games such as Forgotten Worlds, Caliber 50, Ikari Warriors etc, because they're not playable without a spinner.

Actually, you'd play those with rotary joysticks instead of spinners, if you wanted to be authentic since that's how their cabinets were designed. Or you could use a Tron-style trigger joystick in conjunction with a spinner.

Meanwhile, if you only put ONE spinner up, you're missing out on:

Blasteroids
Off The Wall
Redline Racer?
Two Tigers
Warlords
Wheel of Fortune

(While waiting for wheels:)
Atari "Sprint" racing games
Leland racing games

: Same happens with breakouts, although you can also use your mouse instead. But I don't know if a joystick with a button on top is necessary.. how could I use then the fire button with these games without releasing the stick or the spinner? Maybe placing a button very close to the spinner?

Or using a Tron-style trigger joystick.

So, BTW, how did you draw your panel?
