PS/2 to Serial question and other mouse related control questions.

Okay either my PS/2 to Serial adapter is junk or my COM ports are. Can any ps/2 mouse be hooked up to a ps/2 to serial adapter? I'm thinking yes. For some reason no mouse will work when wired like this. This troubles me. My computer simply will not detect any mouse wired up to the serial ports. I do not have any other serial items so I do not know if it's a motherboard issue or not. Doubt it but I don't know what to think. Any suggestions?

Also, does regular mame now support two mouse axies at once whether it be 2 mice or one mouse using both axies? Or do I need to get EMU+ or OptiMame? What about Advanced Mame? Any help configuring this?
