Finally someone "gets it" This is why I made the darn thing, so other people wouldn't have to do what I did just because the looks weren't to their taste. Skinnability is a must for any good program, and when I mean skinnability, I mean true skinnability, in that you can change positions/sizes of elements as well.

More user configurability is on the way in this dept too, including a graphic you can display for each menu in leu of the rather generic path label that shows the name of the exe. Now if I can just get the transparencies for the artwork boxes to work it would be just about perfect graphically.

Btw for those of you who don't like the default skin, we're up to about 16 skins now and more are on the way. Just in case you dont' have any artistic talent.

;)

Oh and Randy.. I was kidding before I put a little ":)" in but I guess you didn't see it. Saint if your listening, this is why I think YABB is a better choice... your messages can have more personality so people can get your meaning.

:
: Ok, so it's just my opinion, but I've tried a bunch and none of them could give me the look and feel that *I* wanted. I always felt like I was using someone elses idea of what *their* front should be like.

: Then I checked out Howard Casto's Raging Dragon. My first thoughts were "ack, a Dragon Theme?" But the beauty of RD (are you other FE guys listening?), is that it can be configured to look just about any way *you* want it to. The skins, sounds, image placement, etc are all up to you. I designed a skin that showed *my* arcade cabinet on the screen in less than an hour, and plan on making some nice 3D skins for it as soon as I get some time. If a few more folks jump in, there should be enough combinations to cover the gamut of tastes out there.

: It's still a little buggy, but HC seems to have squashed the ones that could cause problems. It's come a long way in a short period of time and I recommend it to anyone looking to customize their cabinet to their own tastes.

: My $.02
