1st thing.
Donkey kong is a vertical game, meaning the hor/vert is switched.
So play with the vertical hold first.

2nd.
The monitors in the older nintendo game are crap. I've rebulid probally 20 of them and none of them last very long, probally because they are designed to run off 100 volts. Double check your input voltages to your monitor for this. If your cab has been modified, then the monitor might be getting 120v which they don't like too much.

Also if you need to replace the monitor, remeber that dk also has inverted video, for a solution to this just ask around in rec.games.video.arcade.collecting

btw. fun game, gave my last one to a charity auction where it got 700 bucks!

Later,
dabone

btw,
want a dk3 conversion kit?

yours for shipping charges.
