No sound in DOS

I've read several posts about this but I don't get a lot of the gibberish people are talking about. Can someone help me with this? Autoexec.bat has SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4. Someone told me if I change my dosstart.sys (or bat whatever it is) to that line it should work. How do I change it. It is not listed in msconfig.
