Yeah they act or better are just like normal vga monitors.
I would go for the d9200. It is the new design from wg that takes advantage of modern digital technology and has a nice onscreen display and memory for a lot of presets. If it is anything like the d9100 that I had for a short while it will give you also that blurry arcade feel because of the low dot pitch.
(I personally even prefer the sharpness of a good vga monitor, especially for my beloved vector games, hence my use of a stripped iiyama monitor ;-) )
