Some new motherboards have an option:
VGA FIRST or something. You can select PCI or AGP as the first VGA device.

The othr thing, is DO NOT use the PCI slot immediately adjacent to the AGP slot, as they share resources exclusively.

Also, you may want to check the card mannys to see which ones support this feature natively. Some actually do. My GeForce 2 card from ASUS does, I use is successfully with the PCI version of the voodoo 5 5500 PCI card, it seems, at least in my case, only one card has to have the support for dual cards.

Very helpful when dealing with emulators like UltraHLE which sucks on anything other than a Voodoo card.

: Hello everyone,

: It seems that some videocards are very suitable for Arcade monitors running MAME, but not for playing 3D games.

: Would it be possible to have for example: 1 AGP card and 1 PCI?

: I was thinking it might be possible to switch the AGP off in the BIOS menu or something... I would also probably dual boot.

: Can anyone cast some light on this idea?

: thanks for any replies
