You'll need to be running 98 or ME, since 95 does not have multimonitor support natively. Win 2k also has some serious multimonitor limitations (ie: both displays must run same refresh rate and resolution, which would effectively hoop any MAME plans).

: Some new motherboards have an option:
: VGA FIRST or something. You can select PCI or AGP as the first VGA device.

: The othr thing, is DO NOT use the PCI slot immediately adjacent to the AGP slot, as they share resources exclusively.

: Also, you may want to check the card mannys to see which ones support this feature natively. Some actually do. My GeForce 2 card from ASUS does, I use is successfully with the PCI version of the voodoo 5 5500 PCI card, it seems, at least in my case, only one card has to have the support for dual cards.

: Very helpful when dealing with emulators like UltraHLE which sucks on anything other than a Voodoo card.

: : Hello everyone,

: : It seems that some videocards are very suitable for Arcade monitors running MAME, but not for playing 3D games.

: : Would it be possible to have for example: 1 AGP card and 1 PCI?

: : I was thinking it might be possible to switch the AGP off in the BIOS menu or something... I would also probably dual boot.

: : Can anyone cast some light on this idea?

: : thanks for any replies
