Joystick Question...

Do 12-position Ikari warriors type joysticks feel okay with other "standard" games (Donkey Kong etc). I realize that the stick will work, but when playing a "non-rotate" game does the stick tend to turn or slip or just otherwise annoy?

If they work okay then I'll get a couple as my main sticks so I can play "normal" games and Ikari-warrior type games too. If they just don't quite feel right for other games I'll want regular sticks.
