I ran into the same problem. After speaking to
the 'Twisty Guy', we decided that this would be
be easiest (but not easy!):
He sent me a scan of the opti-wheel without 'every
other spoke knocked off'. I then printed it on a sheet
of transparency (For thickness and plastic-like quality),
used an exacto knife to cut it out (Yes, each spoke), colored
it black with a Sharpie, and applied it to the existing opti-
wheel w/ double-sided tape.

The other, easier option would have been to replace the wheel
entirely, but it seems to be glued in fairly tight.

I still have the scans if you want 'em.

: I put together a twisty grip spinner. I can get it to work very well for tempest, but not well for Arkanoid.

: It seems to be either too jumpy and imprecise or too slow, with nothing in the middle. Is this other people's experience? Is there anything that can be done to help its performance in Arkanoid?
