More outlandish ideas

Is it possible to make custom molds of joysticks like the Tron unit? The translucent idea is irresistible, but I can't see myself pillaging valuable Tron machines just to build my Swap Panel D (see link below).

So how does one go about making these handles in custom see-through colors? :-)
