Making a mold for plastic is probably too expensive if you're only making one or a few pieces. I have seen custom control panels using carved wood handles for Star Wars yoke controls - Xiaou's frankenstein panel.

Maybe those cheap PC joysticks, like those 2-button models, could be adapted as TRON sticks.

: Is it possible to make custom molds of joysticks like the Tron unit? The translucent idea is irresistible, but I can't see myself pillaging valuable Tron machines just to build my Swap Panel D (see link below).

: So how does one go about making these handles in custom see-through colors? :-)
