: Can anyone offer any sugestions in covering the woodwork of a controller; to give it that arcade durable finish?

well, most arcade games are covered in graphics
or logos with plexi on top of that. For mine,
I used 3/4" plywood, primed and painted, with
a sheet of lexan on top of that. I'm very happy
with it. Be sure to use lexan instead of normal plexiglass or you'll have a hell of a time trying
to drill/cut it without cracking it.
