It should work but it would also force the p4 start and p1 btn2 to always be both activated at the same time even if just one or the other is pressed somewhere else on the controls because they'd be hard-wired together at this switch. I don't know if those buttons are used elsewhere in that layout - if not, then it's fine but if they also need to be activated individually as well as together, more isolation will be needed.
