Sorry if I misled you with my explanation, but what you do is to run separate wires back to the I-PAC for the coin slot/button, that way the ARE isolated.

Pressing either P4 Start or P1 Btn2 will not result in the other being pressed as well just because of combining the 2 inputs to a separate switch.

I'd draw a diagram to help explain but I can't draw for nuts!!!!

: It should work but it would also force the p4 start and p1 btn2 to always be both activated at the same time even if just one or the other is pressed somewhere else on the controls because they'd be hard-wired together at this switch. I don't know if those buttons are used elsewhere in that layout - if not, then it's fine but if they also need to be activated individually as well as together, more isolation will be needed.
