I know exactly where you are going with this (mostly because I feel the same way).
The Good News: Yes, you can buy a device that amplifies the video output and splits it.
The Bad News: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Check out this link for a good example. (Actually, this is the cheapest one I found. And I did a LOT of looking.)
