So you are saying that we could use the restritor plates without the metal plate and still get the same performance (obviously as long as the holes were in the perfect positions)? My control panel will be 5/8" MDF (that's 5/8" before any sort of routing I do where the joysticks will mount). And I will have plexiglass on top of that. Probably 1/8" plexi I think? By the way, I DO like the plate with the screws welded to the bottom. Looks much nicer. And I have seen the picture on your site with the plate installed. Looks decent, although I'd rather do it without the plates. How much for two Stainless Steel Restrictor Plate converision kits with the mounting plate WITHOUT the welded screws (to use as a template, per your advice)?
