Windows 2000 by default uses the same irq for all pci devices. The only way to avoid this is during the windows 2000 setup installation. This irq sharing shouldn't impact your sound playback unless the pci card is in conflict with another device like a video card. You can either check to see what irq it is using during boot up or use the pci utility downloadable from dosmame's website. Just go to www.mameworld.net and follow the link to dos help. For the Dos sound blaster drivers you can download them at my school website: www.msu.edu/user/jonesdes I know for a fact that the sound playback on older versions of mame is not compatible with windows 2000, this is especially noticable on older games like pacman.
