Well long time lurker finally posting...

I've been working on my control panel for awhile now and I am just about done... my ambition is to build a full cabinet but my wife won't let me in our small apartment so I had to settle with my control panel for now. Alot of A+ info on this site.

I've got all my controls.. minus a few buttons which have been on back order from Happs for a couple of weeks but should coming sometime this week. I got my I-Pac amazingly fast and am very pleased. The control panel has 2 8 way joysticks I'll have to post some pictures (they're a little unique) of them on my website since I don't know what original arcade machine they came from since I got them used from a friend who owns an arcade. 6 buttons per player. start and coin for each player. 4 misc function buttons. And a 3" trackball (which will work as the mouse once I have purchased one). Speaking of trackballs.. I need one and some other misc. stuff if anyone wants to trade for anything I have.. http://www.quamper.com/trade.htm

Anyways the main reason why I am posting is I made my control panel out of Gibralter Solid Surface (www.wilsonart.com) kind of like Corian. And I was wondering if anyone else has made their controls panels out of this stuff? It's amazing stuff! Albeit it's more expensive than wood.. but man it looks cool.. is super sturdy.. If you some how manage to scratch it all you have to do is take some fine sand paper or a course sponge and it will come out! I'll have some pictures up in a few days on my website and I'll post again.... If anyone else has used this stuff let me know how well it is working.. :)
