For the lexan, I clamped it to my CP and used a laminate routing bit to trim around it..worked great! The edges are protected by the sides of the cab and by the t-molding in the front. You just need to offset your slot cutter to allow for the lexan. The CP is 5/8ths and the Lexan is 1/8 so 3/4 t-molding covers everything(Great idea from PCC who's cab is coming soon...it rocks!) see pics for reference. I've only used supers in my cabs so I can't give a qualified answer for your joystick question..
