SNK Joysticks information

Well, I finally went and figured out exactly how the 12 position SNK joysticks work.

Ok, it is to start off with an standard 8 way that has 4 microswitchs on it.

then for the interesting part. The 12 way directional.
there are 13 pins. pin 7 is the ground (the middle one)

When rotating the joystick clockwise. The connected pin
moves to the left by one position. When rotating counter clockwise
it moves on position left.

so if the 12 positions where a clock face (and remember that there isn't a starting direction. whats up? who knows... so I'm just picking one)

pins 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13

7 - 13 at the hour |
7 - 12 5 after /
7 - 11 10 after /
7 - 10 15 after ->
7 - 9 20 after \
7 - 8 25 after \
7 - 6 30 after |
7 - 5 35 after /

ect...

Anyway. Incase anyone is looking at hacking these (and can't wait for that cool looking board to come out).
