: Anybody know how close you can mount HAPP pushbuttons without the undersides interfering with eachother?

No closer than 1.5 inches center to center. And with this spacing, the mounting nuts will interfere, but you should be able to use the. The mounting nut on the button I checked is approx 1-9/16 across the points, and 1-3/8 across the flats. At 1.5 inches, you will have to remove the switches to install the pushbutton and you might end up having to hold the nut steady and turn the PB to install.

And also, if you mount them this close on a wooden control panel, will the spaces between the holes be weakened too much?

I doubt it. That's what I plan to use on my panel.

: Anybody have any thoughts on this? Am I making sense? :)

: Also... what's the maximum control panel thickness that the buttons can mount on?

I had an old pushbutton, (prolly not Happ). 3/4-inch wood would not be a problem. I think you could still catch a couple threads on 1-inch wood, but that's about the limit. I think Happ may have lengthened their buttons, so 1-inch wood might work with that. Beyond that I would say you are pushing it, but I don't have any actual Happ product to check out.

: Thanks!

Sure!
