I'm still working (unsuccessfully) on the problem I posted yesterday. Does anyone have any ideas?

Here's a recap: I'm running an AMD T-bird 1 Ghz with 256 MB of RAM and Windows 98SE with a Radeon VE video card. I have bought a new RCA 25" TV with S-video input. I have installed the Radeon VE drivers, but am not having much success with the TV out.

When the computer boots up, there is an "Unusable Signal" message on my TV screen. Even once Windows has loaded this message remains until I go into the Advanced settings for my display and adjust the screen size (vertical or horizontal, larger or smaller), then the display will show up on the TV. Everytime I reboot, however, I need to do this re-size exercise again in order to get anything to display on my TV.

Finally, if I bring up a full screen DOS window, I lose my TV output (it reverts back to the "Unusable Signal" message, and the only way to get it back is to move back into a Windows environment (i.e., put the DOS session inside a Window) AND change the screen size setting again.

I have gone so far as to reformat my harddrive and re-install everything, but with no success.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I might want to try to get this to work? I *thought* I should just have to plug in the S-video card and I would be ready to put this inside my Mame cabinet....
