I just followed the instructions given by John Mac. The lady who answered transferred me to "Wally" in the service department. It really was that easy. Sorry about your luck - call back, try it again. Maybe you got ahold of the one idiot that works there ;)
: You must have gotten lucky because I can't find anyone working there now who's even HEARD of the U3100... much less able to sell me one (refurbished or otherwise).
: OK, I might be exaggerating a bit but still... They have 1 in stock, or so they say, but they can't get to it now because the factory is closed until the 18th. I asked them to just sell me a new one at the refurbished price since they "COULD" get to the new ones but "COULDN'T" get to the old ones.
