I assumed the buttons you mentioned were defective. If it's not the buttons themselves that aren't closing a circuit and you've verified that they do make it to the motherboard corrrectly (check for continuity with a tester), then you've got problems I can't help you with.

As for Gyruss, that's a bit more than I can help you with. Most people shouldn't buy these broken machines unless they have the electrical know-how to fix them or are willing to pay somebody to fix it. I for example am buying a broken-down Battle Zone for my father but I'm having an expert fix it for me. There's no free lunch. . .

: i've got buttons from Happ in the event that i need them, but i'm trying to find out what's wrong first and fix it... dont know the slightest thing about electronics and need to be talked-down like a civilian landing a plane.
