I'm a big 6'3" gork like Rosborn too, so I'd say to ignore the standards. Arcade Restoration ahs the full dimensions of the Defender cabinet at http://www.arcaderestoration.com/htdocs/defenderdimensions.htm , but I agree with Rosborn by saying to go with what feel comfortable to YOU.
