Question for Hagstrom KE-72T owners

I finally received my new trackball and got it hooked up. On the trackball is an arrow pointing with monitor by it, meaning the trackball should be positioned so it has the arrow pointing towards the monitor. For me to get it to work, I had to rotate the trackball so the arrow points to the right. Is this typical or is something wrong?
