the u3100 can display windows at max 800x600. the beauty of the u3100 is that it has standard monitor plug just like a normal computer monitor. you simply plug it into your video card without any hacking or wire twisting. it looks really great with all of the arcade games. i doubt that it would be in any of the cabinets that the guy is offering you because it is basiclly a computer monitor. arcade games look great on it because it has a high dot pitch. so you don't need scanlines enabled in mame. neogeo games look excellent. i am really happy with mine. hope this helps. post again if you have any more questions about it.
