: : : I was wondering if there is a material that is almost as strong as standard metal (used for actual control panels), that will resist warping and bending, and is just as thin and easy-to-drill holes in.

: : : I'd appreciate help!

: : : Thanks in advance

: : You can use 1/16" aluminum. But I would suggest putting it over plywood.
: : If you dont want to use wood underneath then I would only use steel.

:
: Andy, where would one look for 1/16" aluminum?

Look in your yellow pages under 'welding'. One of the welding shops in your area will have and be able to make you a custom piece.
