Since my 19" PC monitor just died, I went and priced them locally.

I could get a 19" Samsumg SVGA for $300. I paid $280 for the 25" TV in my cabinet.

As far as multimonitor support, Whenever I launch Dos mame on my desktop pc it consumes the primary monitor. I had tinkered with mame32 a while back and got it to run on either the primary or secondary, but I don't think you can run punchout in true multimonitor mode. However, since the secondary display is still visible with mame running fullscreen on the primary you should be able to write a front end that'll put up a marquee for the current game on monitor 2 before launching a rom. That might be pretty cool if you can find a 9" SVGA ( or an array of them =)to mount in the marquee.

As far as a windows desktop on a TV, it's pretty legible if you use 640x480. There's no point in running at higher resolutions on a tv anyway. I run at that resolution & for a gaming box it's fine. I'd hate to write code on it though ;-) I also set my icon font to arial 10, white text on a black desktop. I find it easier to read, but whatever works.

: I've been looking into using a TV in my cab as opposed to a VGA monitor...
: My problem is I'd like Windows as well and Text tends to be too small on TV.
: Anyways, In the way of Prices, is a 25" TV cheaper then a 19" PC Monitor?

: Also is there some way to set a 13" or 9" VGA monitor on top of my Cab to
: show graphics (Video Marquee) or the top screen such as in Punch-out?
: Thanks in advance for any help...
