The HAPP Super and the Universal support both
4 way and 8 way in the same stick they just do it
different ways..

IMO, The universal is crap (uses rotating baseplate for 4/8 way switching). Don't buy it.
(They sent me some by accident and I was able to
'evaluate' them)

The Super (actuator that is flipped to convert
between 4 and 8 way) is better, but doesn't give /exactly/ the same 'feel' as traditional sticks.

That being said, I used Supers in my cab and they
work pretty well. The Universal had the right
design concept in mind, but they come off as feeling cheap (like MS sidewinder cheap) and the
baseplate doesn't even keep you from pressing the
diagonals, thus the outcome was a failure.

I bought 3 Supers, 2 for 8-way operation and 1 for
4-way operation... they ARE switchable, but it
wouldn't be something you'd want to do twice a week
