In Reply to: Thx, Andy Geez, but one more question: know how to sync the kick of the gun with gun's sound (as in T2 coin-op?) posted by Rob Meyers on 11, 2001 at 6:39 PM:

Since you want to use both guns, how will you keep them both aimed correctly? One will be closer to one side than the other. The one on the right would take longer to get to the left side and vice versa. I am not really sure that this would matter at all, I just thought about it yesterday.

You wouldnt want to share one of those guns with me would you...? Hehe.

: Thanks, that helps a lot. But in the T2 game, each gun not only recoiled when pulling the trigger, but also synced with the actual machine gun shots (and sound) for that particular gun--i.e. when player 1 started to run out of ammo, the recoil got slower, even while p2 had plenty of ammo and was firing away.

: I could try to use the audio signal somehow, but it would pick up the shots from both players, since the shot sounds aren't separate stereo channels. Also any BG explosions or loud dialogue.

: I know I'm being a pest, but I'd like this to be as faithful a re-creation as possible.

: Thanks.
