:: I've heard plex sucks. I read here that lexan is the stuff of choice, but I couldn't find that at home depot. They did have lucite though, which is a type of acrylic (?). I bought a sheet of 1/8", and it cut good, but didn't drill well at all. It left lots of rough edges from melting that I had to clean up a bit to get the buttons to fit in the holes. I think if I used a tool to cut, rather than drill it would have been better. And it routs really well. Plus it doesn't really crack, and looks nice after I painted the underside.

Hmm...sounds good. How expensive is Lexan/lucite? (if you can't tell yet, I'm pretty ... frugal. =)) I don't have any plastic supply stores nearby, so I doubt I could get any either (I do have a carpet supply store close by though...I considered it for a while, it'd definitely be different. =))
