This setup works great. You connect the up/down/left/right wires to the I-Pac and the optic-board on the optical sticks is the exact one Happs uses for a trackball. The rotary stick only uses 2 axis. Anyway, it works pretty damn good. I have played ikari warriors, heavy barrel, time soldiers, arkanoid, 720 and more with these sticks. The only thing I need to figure out is how to adjust the sensitivity for the mouse driver that the opti-pac uses, cause right now i have to crank the sensitivity in MAME32 really high.

Good luck!

: Hi

: Im planning on building my own cabinet and have been sketching on a cp for awhile. I first planed to go with 2 ordinary 8-way joysticks but yesterday i played ikari warriors and know I want to have 2 rotary joysticks. My question now is if I can hook them up to an I-PAC? How do they work? Does each turn generate a "impuls" that I can hook up to the coresponding connector on the I-PAC?
