It could be your video card.. I don't know the chipset, but trident is known for selling the crap of crap in video cards. Upgrade that couldn't hurt at all.
But I'm going to guess it's your controller converter. It's easy to check... just uninstall it, and don't use them. If your running full speed with the keyboard, it's time to get a pc pad. There are a lot of good ones out there. If your building a cabinet, then get a good keyboard encoder and some good joysticks.
