Given that it's for a mac I think it would have to be a hack for most of us. Looking at the inside of the handle in the pic, the wires would be pretty easy to get to. If you didn't feel like hacking it, I think you can run a keyboard emulator to translate analog direction into keystrokes for mame. I can't remember if Joy2Key can do this..?

I'm not sure how much they are retail but there's a couple on ebay right now going for $8-10.

: Well maybe you could saw the top off and use it on a regular 8 way or something. How much did that cost? Happ sells an 8-way that looks a lot like a Tron stick too. I think they're around 30 bucks.
