It's not the sound that bothers me, it's just the buttons themselves. I don't like the snap feel of microswitch buttons, or the pathetically short throw of a full push.

I've been a vidiot since the early 80s (even worked in one for 4 years in the golden age), I know all about the differences; and I prefer leaf switch buttons. I don't really care on the joysticks because they feel fundamentally the same; but the buttons I do.

I just thought "no clicky-clicky" sounded more fun than "I don't like microswitch buttons".
