I had a GeForce2 GTS and was eager to add more monitors and a tv to my setup, thus I opted to get a PCI GeForce2 MX Twinview with TV Out. Its one board but it takes up two plate slots in your system, when they easily could have been on the same metal slot, i had to really maneuver the thing into my system. Anyway, I now have 3 VGA outs (2 from the Twinview, one from my GTS) and 1 SVideo out. Im using win2k and it plugged and played like a charm and the multiple monitors work great except when I try to have three distinct outputs. I have two monitors and one tv hooked up, and can have a different signal on each but twinview is just a big hack. It run's windows at 1600x600 and puts everything on one side on one output and everythign on the other side on the other, and windows only percieves you having two different monitors). This means when you maxamize something you end up with half the image on your TV and half on your monitor. Also, when apps go full screen you really cant use the other screen very well without alt tabbing out, but i expected that. I suspect I will end up just using clone mode on twinview and so I will be able to output the contents of the second monitor constantly.

Some things I would really like to do are proving to be extremely difficult...

I want to have my Geforce2 GTS be my primary display since it is a better card, but I want the twinview to be the default screen for mame since TV out is on that board and I dont need the extra horsepower of the GTS. Also, i'd like to be able to have a fullscreen winamp visualization on the second head and continue to use the first but that dosent appear possible. If you give up and just run the twinview in clone mode (TV output is same as second monitor) it works great though.

BTW, im in the Atlanta area and moving out of my house to go to UGA. Iv got a 4 player D&D Tower of Doom id like to get rid of, and also a bunch of parts from various projects i have been unable to complete due to time, including a bunch of happs super 8s and buttons. Due to space im not looking to pick up any games or parts as traid except for a used hotrod or the like.
