Have you tried launching these games without using ArcadeOS??

Try typing this from the DOS prompt.

MAME -monitor arcade -640x480

This will invoke the ATI NTSC driver, this should defintley work.

Try other modes also if success..

MAME -monitor arcade -320x240
MAME -monitor arcade -368x224
MAME -monitor arcade

if no locks up then its an ArcadeOS issue.
