I believe the KE-24 Fast Version let you change your configuration without rebooting and had nothing to do with the response of the keys. I do remeber someone telling me to enable "Typematic Rate" in the bios this sets the repeat time for holding down one key. You can change the number but I just left mine at whatever the default was after setting it to on. It is disabled by default in most BIOS that I have seen.

Good Luck,

: I noticed there is a "regular" and "fast" KE24.

: Does the same hold true for the KE72?

: I have a problem with some emulators getting keystrokes very erratically.

: More details (bear with me):
: I have a KE72 I just hooked up. I can program it fine.

: I created config files for MAME, Z26, and RockNES.

: In a text editor, I can verify that ALL of my inputs do work and do what I want.

: In MAME and Z26, "player 1" controls work great.
: For "player 2" in MAME, Z26, and both players in RockNES, the controls work very erratically.
: Most of the time the key press is not recognized, and when it is, it is not long enough. For example, in Donkey Kong, I hold the stick to the right. Mario moves a little bit, then stops for a while, then moves a little more, then jumps or something stupid like that.

: Again, in a text editor, all the buttons do what they're supposed to.

: Any ideas????
