BOOTDELAY=0
Make BOOTDELAY equal to 0 or 1. Either is lower than the default value of 2. This will take a couple of seconds off your boot cycle.

LOGO=0
I haven't tried this yet, but if you add the line:
LOGO=0, it will eliminate the Windows Logo Screen that appears (even though BOOTGUI=0). I don't know if this will speed up the boot cycle, but it never hurts taking out unnecessary routines.

: Well, I got my emulators, ArcadeOS, sound card, PS2 mouse, serial trackball, and serial spinner all working fine under pure DOS. The next step is to make them work EVEN BETTER. I'm getting greedy.

: Does anyone have any tips for optimizing DOS performace? (That hard drive really thrashes.) Does anyone have useful utilities for improving DOS memory usage? How about sharing some msdos.sys, congif.sys, or autoexec.bat secrets?

: Thanks.

: Joe
