is there a way to print a template or overlay on clear lexan or plexiglass?? this would mek my project much better if so

i could print it on the plexiglass and not worry about measuring an 8th of an inch off and having to recut, because it eould be printed just perfect, has anyone done this. i think it would work because people print pictures on the plexiglass that covers the arcade monitors. thanks for the help
